Interesting. Could be cool, once 1.5 releases.

Looks interesting — allows you to map a drive to an FTP server or WebDAV folder. Could be a lot easier than trying to set up Samba between my Windows and Linux boxes. Of course, it doesn’t help my Mac out…
Last post on Katrina, I promise you. BTW, you did give something to help the survivors, yes?
Anyway, I found it interesting that during last year’s hurricane season not one major media outlet mentioned global warming. Granted, global warming probably had nothing to do with them, or Katrina for that matter. However, the sheer immensity of Katrina has sparked some major outlets to sit up and say something about it. Mainly because of an article in the Boston Globe titled “Katrina’s real name” — that real name, of course, being “global warming”.
Scientifically, it’s more likely the periodic El Niño cycle causing this recent increase in hurricanes. Of course, some on the left like to use the same tactics as some on the right use, namely, blowing something out of proportion for the sake of a “good” cause. I’m going to stick with my scientific point of view and not get too riled up about global warming and Katrina.

Causes of Katrina: Part 1

It’s blame game time. What will be interesting will be what’s left unsaid.
Anyway, this post was prompted by the news of an investigation “lead” by President Bush into the how the disaster was handled. Not the causes, mind you, but how it was handled.
So, probably nothing about how money was pulled from effort to build up the levee system and spent in Iraq. Nothing about the destruction of wetlands around New Orleans having removed the natural protection of wetlands and barrier islands.
